EPISODE 5 is here and it’s a great one this week. We discuss the fallout from Night of Champions, Paige’s pipebomb, and even have a little lightning round trivia between Chris and Jacob to determine the DeGen Triviaweight Championship of the World!
The DegenJAX gang gives their predictions for Night of Champions and recaps RAW (mostly the Divas debacle) for this pre-PPV episode! Enjoy, kids, and as always, #keephopealive!
Picture this. Two women are gearing up for the match of their careers. It could very well be the match of the year; most definitely the match of the year candidate for the main roster Diva’s Division. It’s certainly the most anticipated. There is a lot of pressure on both sides, and it’s being shown as the lead up. Charlotte has her father there, has her teammates, has everyone asking her about her legacy and about the revolution and about Nikki beating the record and about how she is not only going to make history for herself, but how she’ll be stopping history for someone else – the actual reason that the “Divas Revolution” even started in the first place. There’s threat of interference, from Team Bella, but also Team BAD, who have been threatening it for awhile. They still don’t understand why Team PCB, namely Charlotte, got a title shot in the first place (though it’s been pointed out that it was because PCB won the match at SummerSlam, and that was their reward). And then there is Nikki. She’s confident, but you can tell, she’s finally nervous. She has almost reached her goal of becoming the longest reigning Diva’s champion in history, and solidifying her name in the record books, as well as her and her sister’s legacy as the leaders of the Diva’s Division and the most dominant divas around, and everyone’s eyes are on her. But Charlotte is finally the competitor that she’s threatened by. This is what she has been worried about for months. She could actually lose this title. Her dreams could actually be cut short right then and there, in front of thousands and thousands of people.
The match starts, and the clock on the Bellatron has twenty minutes left by the time the bell rings. Charlotte had done her best to push that match back in the show as much as she could, and now she needs to do her best to beat Nikki before it runs out. Continue Reading …

Happy Labor Day, folks! Hopefully you’re enjoying a Monday off; I know that I am. It’s been a weekend of festivities, which is why this blog post is a bit late. The weekend, however, started off with a big bang when myself, my sister, and my best friend attended the NXT Live event in Jacksonville at the Maxwell Snyder Armory. Above are two photos taken from the event, before it even starte – and please feel free to ignore my unflattering face in the second, and just focus on the thing of beauty that is the wonderful Apollo Crewes.
First, let me say that NXT Live is something that, if you’re a wrestling fan, you need to experience at least once in your life. Or as many times as you can. Because it’s an entirely different beast when compared to a WWE Live event. Continue Reading …
Welcome to Episode 3! Lot’s to talk about this week with tons of wrestling news coming from in and out of the ring. Thanks for listening, and as always, #keephopealive!
Afternoon, folks! This is the very first Degeneration Jax blog post, and I am currently sitting here being stared at by The Lunatic Fringe himself, as you can see in the photo I’ve attached to this lovely piece of writing. Today is a good day. And by that, I mean I finally received my Dean Ambrose autograph from the Stars 4 Hope charity fundraiser that was run pre-Wrestlemania, back in February. And so now I’ve got this guy to adorn my desk. To watch over me. To accompany on my daily adventures and maybe get me into trouble with the law. Anyway, I need to get a frame. Like I said, it’s a good day, but that’s really because I’m easily pleased.
Now, let’s talk wrestling. Because it’s been a weird week, hasn’t it? Firings, crazy fan attacks, and a very weak Raw have contributed to that. But maybe that’s my opinion (the Raw, that is, because there is no denying that some weird shit went down yesterday in the WWE Universe). As I sat there last night, watching it live, I couldn’t help but think that something was just really off about the production. Maybe it was the godawful Tampa crowd that seemed more interested in Ryback/Big Show than Cesaro/Owens (I mean, if that’s your thing…but where was the Cesaro section?!). Maybe it was the fact that Big Show was even fighting Ryback for the Intercontinental Title. Maybe it’s the fact that we almost saw Dolph Ziggler’s little ziggle wiggle as Creative tried to make the Rusev/Lana/Dolph/Summer Rae story line into a really bad fan fiction. I’m still not quite sure. All I know is that I’m a little “meh” on the whole thing, but not really mad about it. It’s probably just because we were coming off such a fantastic Raw the week prior, following one of the best wrestling weekends we’ve had in a long time, and I’m a little disappointed. Here’s a few things I want to get off my chest.Continue Reading …
